Go Home Bay

Summary: In the summer of 1914, ten-year old Helen MacCallum watched a canoe draw near her family's island cottage on Lake Huron's Georgian Bay. The paddler was a young painter named Tom Thomson -- now considered one of Canada's best-known artists -- and that summer he taught her how to paint. The story is told in lyrical free verse.
